만주바람꽃은 우리나라 중부 이북에서 자라는 다년생 초본이다. 생육환경은 토양에 부엽질이 많은 양지쪽에서 자란다. 키는 15~20㎝이고, 잎은 한 잎에서 3갈래로 갈라지고 다시 잎은 2~3개로 갈라진다. 꽃은 옅은 노란색과 흰색으로 잎 사이에서 한 송이씩 달리며 지름은 약 1.5㎝이고, 긴 꽃자루가 있다. 뿌리부분은 마치 고구마 줄기처럼 많은 괴근이 달려 있다. 어린 싹이 올라올 때는 마치 개구리 발톱과 같은 모양으로 올라온다. 열매는 6~7월경에 달리고 종자는 검은색이다. 주로 관상용으로 쓰인다 (출처 네이버 지식백과)
