Air Power Day 2008
Osan Air Base will host Air Power Day, October 11 and 12. This year's Air Power Day commemorates the 51st Fighter Wing's 60th Anniversary and the 60th Anniversary of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces.

저희 오산비행장은 2008년 10월 11일과 12일 양일간 Air Power Day를 실시합니다. 올해는 특히 51전투비행단 창설 60주년과 대한민국 국군 창설 60주년을 기념하기 위한 행사입니다.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Osan's Air Power Day is October 11 and 12. 
There will be a wide variety of Korean and American high-performance aerial demonstrations, unique ground performances, military equipment static displays, a children's play area and a wide variety of food and souvenir booths.

 한국군과 미군의 다양한 고성능 공중 시범, 독특한 항공기 지상 전시와 군장비 지상 전시, 어린이 놀이 구역 설정 및 다양한 음식 제공과 기념품 판매 부스 운영

SECURITY

Gates open at 9 a.m. 
Gates close for entry at 4 p.m.
Air Show ends at 5 p.m.

Public entrance (pedestrians only) is through the Doolittle Gate.
Military entrance (pedestrians only) is at the end of Jo-Rang Mal Road across from Turumi Lodge.

If the air show reaches full-capacity (to be determined) additional base access may be denied at the discretion of the installation commander until enough patrons have departed to free space for more guests.

- KOREAN CITIZENS AGE 17 AND ABOVE ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW THEIR KOREAN IDENTIFICATION CARD (KID) FOR ENTRY TO THE AIR SHOW. 

- ALL SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN CARRY STUDENT ID'S IF AVAILABLE. 

- CHILDREN WITHOUT IDS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT WITH AN ID. 

- VISITORS WHO ARE NOT KOREAN CITIZENS MUST BRING THEIR PASSPORT FOR ENTRY TO THE AIR SHOW. 

- VISITORS FROM THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES ARE PROHIBITED: DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOREA (NORTH KOREA), RUSSIAN FEDERATION, PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, AND IRAN. 

- NO PROTESTS ALLOWED. PROTESTORS ARE ILLEGAL AND WILL BE APPREHENDED BY POLICE AND CHARGED WITH TRESSPASSING.

Backpacks/Large Purses
Coolers (Hard or Soft)
Food 

All bags/items will be searched. Patrons are subject to search at any time while on the Osan Air Base installation.

일반 관람객(보행자)은 두리틀게이트를 통해 행사장으로 입장합니다.

군인(보행자)은 두루미호텔 맞은편 길을 통해 조랑말 로드끝에서 행사장으로 입장합니다.

관람객이 초만원일 경우(차후 결정) 일부 관람객이 행사장을 떠난 후 충분한 공간이 생길 때까지는 비행단장의 재량에 의해 행사장 입장을 통제할 수도 있습니다.

-          17세 이상 대한민국 국민은 에어쇼 행사장에 들어가기 위해서는 주민등록증을 반드시  제시해야만 합니다.

-          학생들은 가능하면 학생증을 가지고 오시기 바랍니다.

-          신분증이 없는 어린이는 신분증을 소지한 부모와 함께 동행해야 합니다.

-          대한민국 국민이 아닌 외국인 방문객은 에어쇼 행사장에 들어가기 위해서 여권을 가지고 와야 합니다.

-          다음 국가에서 온 방문객은 행사장 진입이 금지됨: 북한, 러시아, 중국, 이란

-          데모 금지. 데모행위는 불법으로 간주되어 경찰에 체포되고 무단출입으로 기소될 것입니다.

  The A-10/OA-10 Thunderbolt IIs have excellent maneuverability at low air speeds and altitude, and are highly accurate weapons-delivery platforms.

 A-10  Thunderbolt II는 저속과 저고도에서 뛰어난 기동성을 보유하고 있으며, 대단히 정확한 무기 발사 체제를 갖추고 있음.

F-16 "Fighting Falcon" 
(Single ship demostration - PACAF demo team)

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack.

F-16 Fighting Falcon은 작고 경제적인  다목적 전투기입니다.  뛰어난 기동성을 갖추고 있고,   공대공 및 공대지 임무를 수행한 전투기입니다.

U-2 "Dragon Lady"
(5th RS Blackcats)

The U-2 provides high-altitude, all-weather surveillance and reconnaissance, day or night, in direct support of U.S. and allied forces. It delivers critical imagery and signals intelligence to decision makers throughout all phases of conflict, including peacetime indications and warnings, low-intensity conflict, and large-scale hostilities.

U-2 는 주/야간을 가리지 않고 고고도에서 미국 및 동맹국을 직접 지원하기 위한 전천후 정찰 활동을 수행하는 항공기입니다. 이 항공기는 평시 징후 및 경고, 위기, 저강도 분쟁 및 대규모 위협 상황의 영상 및 신호 정보를 총괄하여 결정권자께 제공합니다.

F-18F "Super Hornet"
(Single Ship Demonstration - NAF Atsugi)
 

A "super" upgrade to the nation's first strike-fighter. It was designed for traditional strike applications such as interdiction and close air support without compromising its fighter capabilities.

AH-64D "Apache Longbow" 
(2d CAB Talon Aviation Unit) 

The AH-64 Apache is the Army's heavy division/corps attack helicopter. Its remanufacture effort incorporates millimeter wave fire control radar, radar frequency interferometer  and cockpit management and digitization enhancements.

AH-64 아파치는육군의 중무장 사단/군단의 공격용 헬리콥터다.  밀리메터 웨이브 화력통제 레이더. 주파수 간섭 레이더,  조종실 관리및 디지털이 향상된 항공기다.

Combat Search and Rescue - "Downed Aircraft Exercise"

This demonstration is a dynamic aerial performance orchestrated with multiple aircraft operating in unison to effect the recovery of a pilot parachuting into enemy territory overrun with hostile troops. Narration, pyrotechnics, and live communications from the aircraft underscore the complex operation and punctuate the air support from the HH-60 "Jolly," AH-64 "Apache" Helicopters, 4 A-10 "Thunderbolts," and 4 F-16 "Fighting Falcons."   

전투 탐색 및구조시범  –   “추락한 항공기 조종사 구조 훈련”

이 시범은 적군지역에서 아군 조종사를 안전하게 구출하는 작전으로  다양한 항공기로 편성하여  역동적인 항공구조 작전모습을 보여주고있다.   복잡한 작전상황 속에서 구조사와 항공기와의 직접교신과 조명탄을 발사하여 위치를 알려주고있다. HH-60 "Jolly," AH-64 "Apache" 헬리콥터, 4대의 A-10 "Thunderbolts,"그리고  4대의 F-16 "Fighting Falcons 으로 부터항공지원을 받고있다.
